Quick Simple Wedding

North Carolina counties do not have a Justice of Peace. However, a magistrate can solemnize a marriage. These ceremonies take place at the courthouse (and in some cases the ‘jailhouse’) during normal business hours. There are various reasons why a couple decides to get married quickly. Many couples choose to marry before deployment. It could be there’s a baby on the way. Or maybe it’s just convenient. But think about it, wouldn’t a simple wedding be more memorable than heading to the courthouse?
